Teresa Catalano Warka

I grew up in Massachusetts with 12 siblings. Throughout my childhood I explored my artistic talents whenever I had the chance. I majored in Art in high school and created a self-made portfolio of my work to aid my work in the commercial industry creating custom signs.

Until my retirement from a full time occupation in the equestrian industry I was primarily a self-taught artist. Once I retired in 2015, I enjoyed the opportunity to focus on my passion in art. Over the last ten years I have been under the tutelage of Nan Hurlburt and completed a visual art course at HCC, earning a dean’s list certificate. My artistic journey has benefited from Workshop 13 classes and life drawing practice. Some recent accomplishments with my acrylic realism paintings include awards from the Northeast Fine Arts Exhibition as well as Scantic River Artisans juried shows.

I am so very grateful for this journey and the ability to bring my love of horses, animals and nature together in my artistry.
