I’m a self taught artist, with an interest in art since I was a young boy growing up in a small town in the region of Molise Italy. My passion for art drew me to the mountain side and fields, where I would look at trees, flowers, streams, rocks and mountains. I would draw whatever inspired me in nature, on paper. Sometimes I would use a sharp object and sketch on wood boards and even boulders.

As I grew older, I studied books with various artists, like Norman Rockwell, Garry Jenkins, Georgia O’Keefe and others. I have experimented with all types of mediums, including acrylics, oil, pastels, watercolor and pencil. I also enjoy using my environment as my canvas, such as wood drift, bark and stones, creating art from anything and everything. Now that I’m retired, I'm fortunate enough to be able to spend more time on my lifelong passion.

 

I'm a member of Wilbraham Art league and Scantic River Artisan of Hampden, where I can display and share my work with others to enjoy.
