I have always been interested in photography as well as simple storytelling. I am intrigued with human feelings and emotions and displaying through my lens their visual uniqueness. Personally, photography plays an important role in my life as it allows me to capture all things that I feel are important to remember.
My background is in Counseling and Psychological Services, and for more than 30 years I was the owner/director of a child care center in East Longmeadow. Upon selling my business, I became a certified Life Coach and began a private practice. Six years later, after deciding to explore my interest in photography, I closed my practice, and enrolled in photography classes at STCC and found a hobby that satisfies my creativity and brings me joy!
I enjoy exhibiting my photography at local shows and the Scantic River Artisans. My
photographs have won awards at the Friends of the Agawam Library Juried Shows, The Monson Arts Council Juried Show, and The Eastham, MA Windmill Festival Show. My work has been featured in the Eastham, MA, Cape Cod Visitors Guides and The Northeast AAA Magazine.
I am inspired by the intricate details of nature, of a colorful sunset, a mountain range, a flower garden, a butterfly, and of seascapes, but most of all; my passion is in capturing the human spirit. Through my lens, I strive to show the human side of an individual and it becomes simply, visual storytelling!
